The Domain of Usseglio Raymond and sons, a whole story |
| |
| Francis Usseglio (on the right of the picture) left Italy in 1931 to go to work the vines in Châteauneuf du Pape as a vineyard-worker. |
|
In 1948, he obtained 8 hectares of vines as sharecropping. This is how he began to produce his own wine in 1949. |
| |
As the years go by, and after a hard work, he bought a plot of land on the plateau called “Terres Blanches” in 1962. This is where his first vines, as a landowner, saw the light. |

| In turn, in 1964, Raymond, my father, became a wine grower. After several purchases, he extended his domain which now spreads on 21 hectares. |
